SUBWAY WORKS ADVANCE AT FULL SPEED
It is estimated that mid of 2010, Nerja will have a subway service, connecting the historical “Barco de Chanquete” with “Las Cuevas”.
EL VAGÓN DE EUROPA will feature the following stations: Del Barco, Jaén, Plaza Cavana, Del Balcón, Carabeo, Del Parador y Las Cuevas.Consequently 3 problems will be resolved, that harass both, tourists and Nerjeños:
1. Less use of vehicles on our streets, will decrease air pollution and help diminish parking congestion.
2. A smaller number of annoying people, loaded with loungers, parasols and bags will be seen swarming to the beach under the suffocated summer sun.
3. The San Isidro Carrozas will be adapted to the tracks with special recessed wheels creating a SUBWAY ROMERÍA.
SOON! Everyone will be going to the beach by SUBWAY, cool and collected, ready to enjoy our fabulous waters.
